Aims of the Group

We aim to provide support to children with Type 1 diabetes and their parents or carers, by arranging social events where parents and children are able to meet and talk with each other.

We organise social events to suit all age groups, and aim to ensure they are both fun and educational. These events include siblings, parents and carers.

We liaise with diabetes specialists to share information and experiences, while aiming to stimulate a greater understanding of Type 1 diabetes.

We support and encourage fundraising activities, and welcome all children with diabetes and their families. 

Many thanks to Carol May School of Dance, who have raised £800 for the group from their show 'A Move in the Right Direction'.

DRY SLOPE SKIING AT ROSSENDALE

There will be a ski party on 17th March starting at 2.00pm.  This ski party is for children aged 5 to 16.  There is skiing, tubing and snowboarding on offer.   After the skiing, there will be an opportunity to warm up with some hot food.  This is a free event to diabetic children and their bothers and sisters.  If you wish to book a place, please e-mail phil.reynolds1@hotmail.co.uk or ring Phil or Kirsty Reynolds on 01772 621131.
