Aims of the Group

We aim to provide support to children with Type 1 diabetes and their parents or carers, by arranging social events where parents and children are able to meet and talk with each other.

We organise social events to suit all age groups, and aim to ensure they are both fun and educational. These events include siblings, parents and carers.

We liaise with diabetes specialists to share information and experiences, while aiming to stimulate a greater understanding of Type 1 diabetes.

We support and encourage fundraising activities, and welcome all children with diabetes and their families. 

 A collection at Preston North End football ground on 10th December 2011 raised an amazing £306.99. Many thanks also to those who have recently raised money for the group.

Next Meeting: 

A meeting will be held on Sat 4th February 2012 at Leyland Methodist Church, Turpin Green Lane, Leyland, PR25 3HA from 11.30am till 3pm.  We will be discussing events for the year ahead as well as a planned residential event.  We will also be having speakers and reps.  Please come along and support this event.
